Remake of Le bureau des légendes (2015)
I have to say I was lucky enough to binge-watch The Bureau a few years ago and to be honest, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Nothing up until this point has come close to that. There is a correlation between the two series, it’s obviously mentioned that it was "influenced" by that, but tbh I wasn’t expecting a similar story.
You won’t regret it
Don’t get me wrong, the series up to this point is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it’s nothing I haven’t seen in the French version already. It’s too early to tell how it’s going to turn out, but I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional assassin in David Fincher’s The Killer, and I saw that he was in the cast, I knew immediately that he was a great choice for the role.
It’s not something you would watch while riding a bike on an exercise bike
These kinds of series actually require a certain amount of concentration while watching them, so that you can follow all the characters in the story and the little details about them. Some would even consider them slow, maybe even boring, but it’s precisely these characteristics and the complicated personal battles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, that makes them great in my opinion. The kind of series that you either love or you don’t like at all, there’s no middle ground.
