Synopsis
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Badingham as their long-standing rivalry comes to a head.. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used for the portrayal of Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC television adaptation of Poldark. I laugh at some of the reviews, obviously from readers who take themselves too seriously. This is an adaptation of Jilly Cooper. ;this is not a series to be intellectualized or morally judged. It’s so much fun. Great cast. Yes, RCB’s hair and eyes are the wrong color. So is Taggies hair. But they work. Somehow.RCB will disappoint some because of this. But Alex Hassell captures it all for him. Danny Dyer is perfect. David Tennant is EXCELLENT as always. And Aidan Turner is just wonderful, if a bit young to play Declan. It crumples slightly in the last third. But yes. It’s great fun. I watched everything in one sitting.
